The sanctuary of "Madonna dei Bisognosi" (Our Lady of the Needy)
The sanctuary of Our Lady of the Needy, near Pereto (AQ), is also known by the name of Madonna del Monte Sanctuary. The place where he is, in fact, is extremely impressive, especially for its wonderful view which is right before this sacred place. The church has a great artistic treasure, as well as devotional and spiritual. In fact, it preserves important and prestigious frescoes by three different artists, such as James of Arsoli, Desiderio da Subiaco and Petrus.
The Pietrasecca Caves can be visited by appointment, from January to December. and for the entire month of August from 4, every day except Monday.

The Monastery of Santa Scolastica
THE MONASTERY: twelve monasteries wanted by St. Benedict in the Subiaco valley, the only survivor of the lands-motions and the Saracen destruction was that of St. Scholastica, which, until the end of the twelfth century, was the only monastery of Subiaco. Originally it was called "Monastery of San Silvestro", later (ninth century) was called the "Monastery of St. Benedict and St. Scholastica" and in the fourteenth century took its present name.
